Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan
McNabb led his team to a 5-0 record in
the month of November so it is only right
that he is our GeoSports Player Of The
Month.
In defeats over Atlanta (23-16), Green
Bay (17-14), NY Giants (28-10), New Orleans
(33-20), and Carolina (25-16), McNabb
in the month has gone 94 completions
out of 145 for a 65.0 percentage, had
two 300-yard passing games, six touchdowns,
one interception, and a QB rating of
102.9.
It’s not the stats that matter
though it’s the leadership and
calm he has brought to the field. One
example of his calm was his 2-minute
drive versus Green Bay when he took the
field down by four, 14-10. He drove 64
yards in eight plays capped by a six-yard
touchdown pass to Todd Pinkston in the
left front of the end zone, leaving the
crowd and Packer players in shock.
Despite all the early criticism (some
warranted and some totally unnecessary),
McNabb has been the leader of the team,
and didn’t lose faith. This is
in part why the team has rebounded from
a 0-2 start (including two home losses)
and are now 9-3 going into December.
When the team loses the quarterback
gets most of the blame so win they win
they deserve the credit. Who has faced
more pressure on this team than McNabb?
