GeoSports Player of The Month is Alexander Ovechkin
of the Washington Capitals. For the month of
March, Ovechkin had 15 goals and 12 assists
leading the Caps to the NHL Playoffs and 13-4
record during the month.
Ovechkin
along with Pittsburgh Penguins' star Sidney
Crosby is the future of the NHL and at 22 is
already bringing up names in reference like
Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux. From his left
wing position this season he scored 112 points
and 65 goals, a record for left wingers breaking
Luc Robitaille record. He's the first player
to score 60 goals since 1996.
Ovechkin
will win the Art Ross Trophy for most points
in the league during the regular season and
the Rocket Richard Trophy for most goals in
the league during the regular season.
