GeoSports Player of The Month is Tracy McGrady
and it's not because of his statistics! The
6-9 forward/guard only (only?) averaged 19.8
points, 6.2 assists and 5.2 rebounds in the
month of February. The reason he is the man
of the month is because his team went undefeated
(13-0) during the month and he's been the ring
leader allowing his teammates to share the scoring
load and reaping in the benefits of having empowered
teammates.
McGrady
has never won a playoff series and the Rockets
winning those 13 straight games doesn't mean
anything towards that but it does show a growth
in the team's play and McGrady's! McGrady hope
to shed the playoff loser tag when the playoffs
kickoff in April. Now he knows he can better
depend on players like Shane Battier, Rafer
Alston, Luther Head and Bobby Jackson.
