Dwyane Wade is a first time NBA Champion with the Miami Heat and our GeoSports Player of the Month for June 2006. Wade was blistering for the whole playoffs and was clearly the reason the Heat defeated the Dallas Mavericks averaging 34.7 points, 3.8 assists and 7.8 rebounds along with 1 blocks during the 2006 Finals.

For the playoff all he did was average a meager 28.4 points, 5.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds helping to defeat the Chicago Bulls, New Jersey Nets and the two-time defending Eastern Conference champion Detroit Pistons.

While you can question a few of the calls he gets on the court you can't deny that he's one of the top 10 players in the league today and has a personality that will carry him far! He's what the NBA is looking for in a torch bearer!
