DJ Premier has been doing his thing for a minute and Rare Play, Volume One is a collection of some of his hidden and not so hidden gems.

Some cuts I remember and love include "The Return of Crooklyn Dodgers", Sauce Money's "Against The Grain", Screwball's "Seen It All", All City's "The Actual", Ras Kass's "Goldyn Child".

Other artists featured on the mix include Charli Baltimore, Blaq Poet, AG, Gangstarr, Party Arty, Big Shug, Blahzey Blahzey, Tef, Sonja Blade, Tef, Group Home, The Ranjahz, D & D All-Stars and Krumbsnatcha.

Overall, a nice mix with plenty of blast from the past and some cuts I haven't heard I'll give Rare Play, Volume One four GeoGlobes.
