Ghostface
already had a great 2006 with the early
year release of the critically acclaimed
Fishscale featuring
songs like "9 Milli Bros.", "Back Like
That (feat. Ne-Yo)" and "Dogs of War",
Ghost once again proved he's one of Hip
Hop's top dogs.
In
December, Ghost released More Fish
,
an album starring himself and his people
in The Theodore Unit. Ghost said this
was '"a stocking stuffer"'.
The 17 track LP features people like Trife,
Sun God (son of Ghost himself) Kanye West,
Ne-Yo, Sheek Louch (of The Lox, Cappadonna,
Amy Winehouse, Killa Sin, and Redman.
The production is mostly done in house
but others like Hi -Tek and MF Doom also
come in and contribute to the wonderful
mix.
This
album continues on the theme of the Fishscale
album but lets Ghost's whole team get
more shine. You won't be disappointed
with Ghost's involvement because he's
on
14
of the tracks and is as energetic as ever.
Songs I dig are the remake of Rakim's
"Know The Ledge" called
"Ghost Is Back", "Ghost Is Back,
"Guns N Razors" featuring Cappa,
Killa Sin and Trife, "Greedy B--ches"
featuring Redman and Shawn Wigs, Blue
Armor with Louch, the story about making
a movie called "Alex (Stolen Script)",
"You Know I'm No Good (about women)"
featuring Amy Winehouse and the pain filled
story called "Josephine".
It's
more than Ghost trying to get his team
out there it's another opportunity to
hear him kill a track. This was a great
X-Mas present and it will be a good cop
for a fan struggling with Hip Hop in general
especially the radio. While Ghost does
spit on a lot of team joints on More
Fish
it's not like he's putting on garbage.
Trife is becoming a Scottie Pippen player
to Ghost's Michael Jordan and MF Doom's
(in particular) beats are great and fits
GFK's sound perfectly. The Wu-Tang flag
is still flying high!
The
album gets 4 GeoGlobes.
