GeoReview:Beyonce, B'Day

By Clayton Ruley

Beyonce has the world at the palm of her hands musically and it's because she has the voice and the looks to appeal to many! Her first album was critically acclaimed and this latest one shows a more grown and sexy one!

Songs like "Ring The Alarm" (produced by Swizz Beatz) shows an aggressive nature many didn't see Beyonce show before filled with anger.

"Get Me Bodied" ("It's me Snitches", Swizz does it again) is a great dance party and lets the ladies know they can express themselves on the party floor!

"Upgrade U" and "Deja Vu" feature Jay-Z and he spits his charm and wit on the microphone.

"Suga Mama" has a Black exploitation sound to it and oozes sex from it.

"Kitty Kat" is on a simple beat and Beyonce talks about waiting for someone to return home and them not feeling it especially if it's because of another lady.

"Freak'um Dress" is a really racy track that perfect for rallying the girl troops and telling the men they getting theirs tonight.

"Listen" is from the Dreamgirls movie and is a contrast with a majority of the album.

"Irreplaceable" is probably the best song the album and is another independence song that was destined to reach the world! The video was even nicer and showed an all female band getting it in.

Recently she put in a new B'Day deluxe edition out and it has a CD/DVD combo for sale with new music and videos for most of the original songs including new songs like her collaboration with Shakira entitled "Beautiful Liar".

The original B'Day was a very good album with little drop off! I'll give it 4 Globes.
