GeoReview: Talib Kweli,
The Beautiful Mix, Volume 2

By Clayton Ruley

After the release of The Beautiful Struggle some felt incomplete, as some tracks we thought were going to be on the album weren't. Now there are no complaints as Brooklyn MC Talib Kweli returns with the second part of his The Beautiful Mix series and it has those songs we missed and so much more.   This mixtape is hot and should keep Kweli fans with proof that the man does his damn thing.

The heat on the album is widespread but we can give a few names one of them being the opening track "The Struggle Continues" featuring David Banner and Common talking about the suffering we are all going through in this world and country in particular. Then Black Star makes a couple of appearances, first in the blurry cut "What It Is", a track that uses that Kanye West beat used in the Boost Mobile commercial and later in Supreme, Supreme, a crazy hot track that will have you praying for the two to do another official LP! Teef's Theme grabs Nas' inspiration and Talib goes ballistic over the track, "The Government" features M1 and Donte talking about politics, "Tryin' To Breathe" is a monster cut featuring Killer Mike over a Midi Mafia track,   "It's Like That" features The Game and Ludacris over Biggie's "Dead Wrong" beat and "Speak Clearly" features Krondon and Jean Grae. Who else you want Kweli to rap with?

If you didn't know this mix is very hot and worth the cop! I'll give it 4.5 globes.
