GeoReview: Haz, The Paradigm Piece
By Clayton Ruley

Haz brings us The Paradigm Piece and talks politics and more! The Brooklyn, NY artist comes out talking about his people and the different types of his people in "Terms of Endearment". The track is something you'd think about in a club but he's talking about something with substance.

"Vivid Perversion" talks about George W. Bush, his people and his time in office (all for the bad, IMO). Haz shows a outstanding ability to see past the bull most media outlets will pass as fact when doing this cut. He also does a good job of making it something easy to listening to.   This track features Jordan on the chorus and he does a nice job also!

"Sunshine" is a softer song about a lady that makes things go better in the bad days and great on the excellent ones! This song features Jordan and Big Brooklyn Red and they do the chorus!

Haz talks about his past on "Anger Management", a track that admits troubles and talks about making plans before it's too late! This is a nice track to compare your journey to.

"My Steez" talks about living your life to the fullest and making history rather than money! The beats combines Hip Hop with the Latin sound and does good on this life track.

"Drug Dealer" is about the movement of drugs and how it kills you overall! The beat sound like a production factory complete with things being routinely mixed and cooked, lifted and dropped! Haz talks about how he expects to live without the game and it being hard.

"Our Song" is another Hip Hop and Latin music sounding track and he talks money and fame not being the only things worth living for! He talks about the whys of the community and more on this track. You can play this in the ride and heads will be boppin'!

Overall I liked the music tracks produced by Jordan (except My Steez) and the lyrics. They were insightful and looked towards a better more aware Haz and the listeners he grabs! He doesn't seem to hold himself to one particular style, which is good and he seems to be able to talk the street stuff with the political stuff and do it interchangeably!

I'll give The Paradigm Piece 4 GeoGlobes.
