Redman (a.k.a. Funk Doc) and his cohorts return to the mixtape scene with BC4, Straight Outta Lo-Cash.   The mix is hosted by Redman and long time collaborator Govmattic and the mix features regulars Saukrates, Icarus and newcomer Melanie.  

This mixtape is more Redman's squad getting down and less Redman than on previous mix but that is ok because a young star shines in Icarus on the middle cuts of the album "Made It" and "Stand Up".   Funk Doc shows his fast flow skillz on "You're So Gangsta" a play off Twista's "So Sexy" cut and you also hear Jay-Z and R. Kelly on "Da Banger" off their Best Of Both Worlds LP.   "Deeper Cover" is heat in an igloo as Funk Doc is joined by Icarus and Saukrates and the track "81z2 Mile" is crazy as well.

The album is a little too short for my taste but Redman still gets you ready for the Red Gone Wild album coming soon from Def Jam with witty slang and verbiage.
