Why do organizations ask for donations
from people who are struggling to live
day to day when they need to ask the Fortune
500 companies for donations from the money
they don’t pay their employees?
Why is the dictionary definition of Black
so negative?
Why do people want big things but aren’t
willing to beardown and do the necessary,
detailed work that goes into getting there?
Why do you expect someone to care for
you more than you care for yourself?
Why don’t more people (especially
those of color) donate blood, or become
organ or bone marrow donors? What will
you do with the stuff when you are dead?
Why are certain oppressed groups like
gays denied civil rights. If they deny
their rights and you allow them to, don’t
you think you could be next for you differences?
Why does Bill O’ Reilly keep putting
his foot in his mouth, calling Method
Man and Redman “thugs” because
Fox has a new show staring them? Clothes
don’t make the person, character
and actions make someone a thug!
Why is the annual June event: Odunde,
one of the few events in Philadelphia
where people young and old can come together
without violence and strife?
Why is America always making celebrities
out of people who do nothing but live
off someone elses’ money or make
a scene around themselves whenever possible
instead of focusing on people who are
about righting the wrongs in this country?
Do we really need to know what Paris Hilton
does all the time!
Why has this reality television concept
gone way too far? Now we are giving away
fathers, swaping spouses, and doing makeovers!
Bet you they wouldn’t stick affluent
people in the hell called poverty, especially
in urban areas, for a long period of time
with limited money and resources and tape
the process. Maybe it would open capital-driven
America eyes to the struggles created
by solely worrying about the bottom line!
