GeoBooks: Thelma Balfour, Black Sun Signs: An African-American Guide To The Zodiac

Reviewed By Constant

Black Sun Signs: An African-American Guide to The Zodiac is written by Thelma Balfour for the specific purpose of adding black emphasis to the zodiac you regularly see in the newspapers, books and other media sources. Balfour, a free-lance writer and stringer for Newsweek, has studied and practiced astrology for over twenty years.

The book breaks down each specific sign traits that are positive and negative traits as well as the ruling planet and what it is associated with. Men and women are different so it gives you insight on how they are same/different and how to get next to them in a friendly or loving way.

The book also gives you tips on what a child born under a specific sign will act like and how you should approach that child, which could only help. There are employee mannerisms included
specifically regarding signs and that could help you personally and could also help you deal with others in the workplace.

There are certain ways people personalities can affect their health so the author gives you tips on how those traits can hurt or help. Lastly they give you names of fellow signmates so you can see how your personalities are probably similar. Some of the names you'll see will surprise you!

The book can help you with money too and the author does a good job writing towards the African-American and minority audience by throwing in slang, places, and foods that most will relate to! If you don't follow the zodiac this will be a good starter book.

I'll give it 4.5 GeoGlobes.
